The Eastern Regional Technical Advisory Committee (ERTAC) is a collaborative effort to improve emission inventories among the Northeastern, Mid-Atlantic, Southeastern, and Lake Michigan area states, other member states, industry representatives, and multi-jurisdictional planning organization (MJO) representatives.

ERTAC has developed the Energy Generating Unit (EGU) Projection Tool which can be used to grow base year (BY) hourly EGU air emissions inventories into future years (FY). The purpose of this is to inform air quality impact assessment on both annual and episodic peak bases. The tool uses BY hourly US EPA Clean Air Markets Division (CAMD) data, fuel-specific growth rates, and state-provided information such as retirements and controls to estimate future emissions.

ERTAC EGU workgroups maintain and distribute reference runs for the contiguous United States (CONUS).  Input and output files for each reference run are provided in the menu below. The BY and FY hourly data are not included due to file size, but are available upon request. The enhanced summary files provide NOx and SO2 criteria pollutant data for annual and ozone season time periods.

Please send questions or comments regarding the ERTAC EGU Projection Tool to smccusker@marama.org and agarsteck@marama.org.
