May 29, 2026
We are excited to announce that plans are underway for the 2026 MARAMA Monitoring Workshop, scheduled for November 16-19, 2026! This workshop will be a HYBRID (in-person with remote option) workshop taking place in Baltimore, MD.
This workshop will bring together air monitoring professionals from across the region (and beyond) for four days of learning, collaboration, and networking. Sessions will be presented by agency staff, EPA representatives, and other experts in the field.
The Planning Committee for the workshop—comprising of state Monitoring Program managers and staff from Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Maine, along with staff from NESCAUM and MARAMA—will be reaching out to agency staff over the coming weeks/months to gather volunteers for participation and presentations.
The following overarching topics are currently being considered by the Planning Committee:
- Updates from EPA OSAP, EPA OCAP, EPA Regional Offices, etc.
- Air Sensor Studies and Community Monitoring Projects
- Hands-on Training
- Equipment training with representatives from Met One and Teledyne
- Data Visualization / Data Analysis training
- Working lunch sessions featuring open discussions/roundtables on QAPPs, Equipment Issues, Unified Platform, etc.
- Program/Campaign Updates
- Monitoring events from the past year (domestic and international)
If you know of a presentation or presenter that would fit within any of the topics above, please contact Alexandra Spinazzola at aspinazzola@marama.org, and she will share the information with the Planning Committee.
Additional information, including registration information and a draft agenda, will be distributed around early July. If you have any questions before then, please feel free to reach out.
We look forward to seeing you there!
