EPA’s Virginia Clean School Bus Webinar Summary

On July 11, 2022, the Environmental Protection Agency Mid-Atlantic Regional Office collaborated with Mothers Out Front and Virginia Clean Cities, as well as Virginia Clinicians for Climate Action, Virginia Organizing, Generation 180, and Virginia Interfaith Power and Light to host a webinar promoting EPA’s Clean School Bus Program funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The webinar was open to school districts who are interested in converting their fleets to electric school buses.

EPA staff shared information on the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Clean School Bus Program, while speakers from Appalachian Power explained the resources and technical assistance available to help school districts fund electric school buses replacement projects. Lastly, Montgomery County Public Schools and Loudoun County Public Schools staff presented on their experience operating electric school buses in their fleet.
