COURSE DESCRIPTION

This three-day program will provide inspectors, permit writers, and regulatory personnel with practical information and tools to assess compliance with NSR/PSD requirements and to develop cases. Experienced instructors will be teaching this complex program, presenting concepts and terminology in the context of real-world examples and emphasizing state and local rules. Topics include: What is exactly is NSR/PSD? Why is it important? Who is subject to NSR/PSD? What are typical violations? What kinds of source information can reveal a violation? How do I obtain that information, analyze it, and use it to develop a case? What tools are available to focus investigations?

MARAMA SUPPORT AVAILABLE

MARAMA will offer support to cover the cost of room and tax for up to 2 staff per MARAMA member agency for up to 3 nights (February 23rd, 24th, and 25th). Supported attendees are responsible for all incidentals and travel. Overnight support is not available to those who live within 50 miles of the course location.  If additional or alternative support is needed, pre-approval is necessary and a request must come from your agency’s Air Director (or their designee) and emailed to MARAMA’s Executive Director, Susan Wierman (swierman@marama.org), as well as MARAMA’s Training Coordinator, Sue Dilli (sdilli@marama.org), prior to the event.  A list of what type of support is needed, an estimate of additional costs, and the reason for the support is essential to include
