SECURITY PROCEDURE
As you enter the building, the front desk staff will have a list of training course attendees. Everyone will be required to show a driver’s license or a government-issued ID.
Building Instructions:
– Attendees should not wander from the conference room into other areas of IDS
– Any phone calls should be made outside of the main entrance to the IDS suite.
– Extraneous noise should be kept to a minimum when in common areas.
MARAMA is offering this 2-day Introduction to APTI SIP 101 (State Implementation Plan) Introduction to Air Quality Planning course for state and local air quality professionals air quality professional staff working, or planning to work, in State Implementation Planning (SIP). This course will provide an overview of what is contained in a State Implementation Plan (SIP) and the work involved in the development of a SIP. It is designed for new Air Quality Planning staff as well as those who wish to understand the SIP process in more depth. The purpose of this course is to provide a better understanding of what is required for the new Ozone NAAQS, to better understand regulatory requirements and processes, to know where to find SIP-related resources on U.S. EPA’s website, and be able to identify work products, schedules, and resources needed to prepare SIPs.

MARAMA SUPPORT AVAILABLE
Overnight support is not available to those agency staff who live within 50 miles of the training location. For other members, MARAMA will offer support to cover the cost of room and tax for up to 2 staff members per MARAMA member agency for the nights of April 12 and 13, 2016. If an additional night is needed due to travel time, please request additional support as noted below. Supported attendees are responsible for all incidentals and travel unless additional support is requested before the event by the MARAMA agency’s Air Director (or their designee) via email to MARAMA’s Executive Director, Susan Wierman, as well as MARAMA’s Training Coordinators, Jackie Burkhardt and Sue Dilli (training@marama.org). A list of the type of support needed, an estimate of additional costs, and the reason for the support are essential to include.
