Presenters

 

Dr. James Boylan

Manager, Planning & Support Program, DNR GA

Dr. Boylan has worked at GA EPD for 15 years and is currently the manager of the Planning & Support Program in the Air Protection Branch. He is responsible for SIP development, state rulemaking, emission inventory development, control strategy assessment, and modeling. He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University, and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Jason Maranche

A.P.C. Engineer III, Air Quality Program, ACHD

Jason Maranche has been a modeler for ACHD for over 18 years, with focus on SIP demonstrations involving steel manufacturing facilities in complex terrain and meteorology in southwestern PA. Specialized modeling applications have included the use of prognostic MMIF meteorological inputs, hybrid approaches for regional and local contributions, and characterization of buoyant fugitives. Jason has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Penn State.

 

Alan Dresser

Bureau of Evaluation and Planning, NJ DEP

Alan Dresser graduated with an A.B. in Physical Geography from Indiana University and a M.S. in Meteorology from Pennsylvania State University. Since 1981, he has worked in the field of air quality at the Colorado Air Pollution Control Division, Ebasco Environmental, and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP). During his 23 years at NJDEP he has been involved in every aspect of air permit modeling for both minor and major sources. He has also worked on SIPs, emission inventories, and state rule making
