2012 Annual Meeting
MEETING GOALS:
The meeting goals were to:
- Provide technical support to state and local air agencies as they respond to requirements of the Clean Air Act and EPA Rules, by reviewing the results of preliminary modeling and data analysis in the context of regulatory drivers
- Increase awareness of scientific information about the nature and causes of air pollution in the MARAMA region by learning about work underway to integrate satellite, aircraft, and surface air quality measurements
- Promote consistency among MARAMA member agencies in responses to air pollution issues and legal requirements by exploring ways to address new air quality monitoring requirements
- Improve the regional capacity to develop multi-pollutant strategies by reviewing multi-pollutant analysis of emissions and air quality data and modeling results
