MARAMA sponsored EPA Region III and OECA’s Clean Air Act Lessons Learned Workshop on June 9-11, 2009 in Philadelphia, PA.

Workshop Overview:

The workshop addressed how enforcement and permitting programs can work together to ensure that environmental results of enforcement actions are achieved. This workshop was not an introduction to NSR and is meant for staff with more than just a basic knowledge of NSR.

This course was developed by EPA’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assistance to help permit writers prepare permit conditions that are enforceable.  There were real-world examples provided from OECA’s major NSR enforcement cases as well as local examples provided by MARAMA agencies that illustrated the best practices in making permit conditions enforceable.
