MARAMA Administrative Specialist Job Description

This position provides administrative support for activities of the Executive Director and staff while also coordinating and maintaining an effective and efficient office.
Duties include: General office management & administrative support; board of directors support; review and approve invoices for payment and process receipts; management of office equipment, computers, website, and paper files; procurement and inventory management; office policies and quality assurance
Job Qualifications for Administrative Specialist:
-- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
-- At least two years significant office experience desired, preferably with a non-profit or
public service organization.
-- High proficiency with office technology and IT solutions using Microsoft Office suite.
-- Knowledge of Joomla or WordPress preferred.
-- Knowledge of principles and procedures of project management.
-- Excellent organization skills, including the ability to plan work, focus, multi-task,
work independently, and maintain workflow.
-- Ability to work under tight deadlines to help move projects forward.
-- Strong writing, proofreading and editorial skills
-- Excellent interpersonal skills, including a pleasant and professional manner in interacting
with people at all levels.
-- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Work Schedule and Benefits
-- Full-time (37.5 hrs/week) preferred. Willing to consider part-time.
-- Employees working over 30 hours/week earn 2 weeks sick leave, 2 weeks vacation,
3 days personal leave, and the option to participate in our health/dental insurance plan.
-- After completing 6 months of employment employees may choose to defer funds pre-tax
to a 401(k) plan. After completing 1 year and working at least 1000 hours during the year,
employees are eligible for employer contributions.
