Class Length: 3 - day lecture course

Course Description

This entry-level course presents a broad overview of the major aspects of air pollution control. The lessons include information about pollutants, pollutant sources, effects of pollution, dispersion of pollutants, measurement and control of emissions, laws and regulations pertaining to air pollution control, and other related topics. This training course is recommended as a background course for all areas of study in the APTI curriculum.

Target Audience

This course is designed for regulatory personnel who are new to the air quality regulatory field. This class is intended for engineers, scientists and technicians who are new personnel in regulatory agencies and will have responsibility for permit review and/or regulatory compliance.

MARAMA SUPPORT AVAILABLE

MARAMA will offer support to cover the cost of room and tax (March 23th, 24th and 25th) for up to 2 staff members per MARAMA member agency. Supported attendees are responsible for all incidentals and travel. Overnight support is not available to those who live within 50 miles of the course location.

Alternative support requests: Please let us know if you will be requesting additional support (other than that being offered by MARAMA above), and we will send your state air director a travel support request on-line form to complete for approval consideration.
