COURSE OVERVIEW:

The BACT Workshop is a comprehensive training course for permit writers, management, and counsel to PSD permitting authorities.  It covers all significant BACT issues such as evaluating technical feasibility; identifying and evaluating environmental impacts; determining, weighing, and applying cost effectiveness and other measures of economic impacts for alternative air pollution control techniques; and establishing clear and enforceable emission limitations representing BACT.  This course provides a thorough review of legislative history, statutory and regulatory provisions, interpretive guidance, and pertinent case law.  Considerations specific to BACT for greenhouse gases will be covered.  In addition to lecture, the workshop includes both individual and group exercises.
